KUALA LUMPUR, 30 SEPTEMBER - The Malaysia Competition Commission (MyCC), an agency under the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN) has issued a Proposed Decision against 81 enterprises for their involvement in a price-fixing agreement for the provision of Umrah travel services in Malaysia from 2023. Their cartel behaviours can be deemed as an infringement under section 4 of the Competition Act 2010 (Act 712).

KUALA LUMPUR, 12 SEPTEMBER – The Shah Alam High Court on 11 September 2024 has dismissed the Judicial Review (JR) application filed against MyCC infringement decision in 2021 by five warehouse operators involved in a price-fixing cartel related to handling services of long-length and heavy-lift import and export cargo at Port Klang.

KUALA LUMPUR, 10 SEPTEMBER - The Malaysia Competition Commission (MyCC), an agency under the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN) has issued a Proposed Decision against three enterprises for infringing Section 4 of the Competition Act 2010 (the Act) for their involvement in bid rigging in six tenders issued by Perbadanan Putrajaya (PPJ) for maintenance works. KUALA LUMPUR, 5 SEPTEMBER – The Malaysia Competition Commission (MyCC), an agency under the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN), has issued an Infringement Decision against seven (7) enterprises for infringing section 4 of the Competition Act 2010 (Act 712) by participating in a bid-rigging cartel in relations to four (4) tenders awarded by the Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) worth around RM20 million in 2017 and 2020.
